INFINITI BREAK JANUARY SALES RECORD

- Infiniti UK registrations in January up 72%
- Infiniti Sales in Western Europe increased by 75%
- 17th consecutive month with year-on-year growth around the globe for Infiniti
- The All-new Q30 Active Compact has started to arrive at Infiniti showrooms around the world
Just after a record 2015 for Infiniti, the momentum has been carried into 2016 with record January sales. European sales were excellent with more than 800 cars sold which was an increase of over 75% against last year’s figures. Worldwide sales hit 15,600 for January, which was an increase of over 1%. This gave Infiniti its 17th consecutive month of growth, establishing the car-maker as an up and coming player in the new car market.
The global result is driven by all-time high January results in many regions and key markets, such as China, Western Europe, Mexico, Latin America, Middle East, South Korea, Australia and Asia and Oceania overall.
The all-time sales record for January in Western Europe is mainly fuelled by the brand new Q30 Active Compact that has started to arrive at Infiniti showrooms. The Q30 has helped to achieve remarkable growth figures in many of the European key markets: The recently published SMMT registration figures for the UK show an increase of over 72% rising from 61 in January 2015 to 105 this year. Other European markets are also very positive with France up 112%, Italy 81% and Germany 54%.
“Infiniti has had an excellent start into 2016 as deliveries to dealers and customers of the new Q30 Premium Active Compact started. Our new model has been very well received by industry observers and customers alike,” announced François Goupil de Bouillé, Vice President of Infiniti Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Infiniti is currently in the middle of a major product offensive. As we launch the QX30 Premium Active Crossover and other upgraded models later this year, we expect to continue our strong sales momentum throughout the year.”
