Industry experts predict impressive sales performances for the Ford Galaxy in 2006

Price depreciation of the S-MAX will be far less than for competing MPVs such as the Toyota Corolla Verso and the Vauxhall Zafira, say the experts.

Emmox similarly believes that the Ford Galaxy Zetec in 2006 will outperform fellow rivals such as the Citroen C8, the Renault Espace and the Galaxy Ghia ? saving ?16 per week in handling costs.

CAP told website Carpages that new models of the Ford Galaxy are a cast improvement on older editions on the market.

Martin Ward, national research manager for CAP, said the Galaxy "is not just a facelift, but a whole new vehicle and a big step forward.

"The quality is much improved and the fold-flat seat system makes it much more functional," he added.

The Ford Galaxy and the Ford S-MAX will be available from June with a host of new car finance deals such as hire purchase contracts.
