Geneva Motor Show Special Part 1

We look through some of the highlights of the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

This year’s show has been incredible – with the announcements of the hotly anticipated Bugatti Chiron, the stylish masterpiece from Ferrari (GT4 Lusso) and the Lamborghini Centenario. It has truly been the year of the supercar this time round at Geneva.

Other premieres on display at this year’s 86th Geneva motor show include the new Mclaren 570 GT, Aston Martin DB11, Porsche Boxster 718, Jaguar F-Type SVR.


Suv/Crossovers at Geneva  

The world new car market has seen the continued growth of the SUV/Crossover and Geneva has much to offer this year in the shape of design and practicality. Premieres at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show include the Maserati Levante, Kia Niro, Seat Ateca, Audi Q2 and Toyota CH-R. The Levante is an SUV first for Maserati and will look to rival the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. The Kia Niro and Seat Ateca are also brand new models and have been a big hit so far, appealing to customer looking for practicality and value for money. Audi have created the Audi Q2 to compete with the Mini Clubman, and is expected to give it a run for its money, as there are lots of Audi lovers out there. The new CH-R is the brain child of Toyota and will pitch itself against the Nissan Qashqai and new Renault Kadjar.

New Renault Scenic

The new Renault Scenic is an MPV/Crossover and with this release Renault breathe new life into their line-up alongside the Renault Kadjar. Renault says its sexier and better looking than the previous model but it retains all the interior features that you’re used to.

New Fiat Tipo

The Fiat Tipo is back after 20 years in the shadows, its been a hit in turkey and has been renamed and revived as Tipo for the UK and European market. It will Rival the Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra and VW Golf in the family hatch segment.

New Suzuki Baleno

Suzuki has a hybrid version of its Baleno on the way, promising exceptional fuel efficiency and low Co2 emissions to boot. This is part of Suzuki’s plan to offer a hybrid version for every model in production.

New Mercedes E-Class

Mercedes say it’s probably the most intelligent business limousine in the world, with features for autonomous driving, new safety features and Mercedes also describe the new E-Class as a fully connected car.
