The new Ford Galaxy launch comes hot on the heals of the new For D-Max's debut at the Geneva Motorshow.

If the D-Max makes it into production it will offer drivers a second Ford seven seater option.

It is expected to feature two or three rows of seats and should have the capacity to seat up to seven. As such it keeps pace with the likes of the new Vauxhall Zafira, the cheap new Toyota Previa and the Renault Espace.

The proposed new Ford D-Max will be built on the same platform as the all-new Ford Mondeo.

As such it will also be sharing a chassis with the new Freelander and cheap new Volvo XC50, which should give it a much more car like feel than the Ford Galaxy has.
