Ford are releasing a brand new fiesta in 2017

Ford’s Best seller looks and drives great and is testament to the great success it has achieved over the years with the model still being very popular despite being released in 2008 and selling 130,000 new units in 2015.
So what can we expect to see from the New Ford Fiesta?
Ford designers and engineers look to tweak and refine the fiesta for 2017 and take on board the criticism about the current model’s interior and lack of space in the back in time for an early 2017 on a new 17 plate.
The all new Ka+ is also due for a late 2016 release with the new fiesta following shortly after. The Ka+ will fit nicely under the fiesta in terms of size and space but will be built upon the same platform as the new fiesta.
With this in mind they will be aiming to keep the same five star Euro NCAP safety rating, driving experience and reliability so they can focus on increasing the interior space, adding the newest and latest technology that they seem to lack when compared with the Volkswagen Polo, Skoda Fabia and Hyundai i20.
The Fiesta ST200 above will be the swan song for the current Fiesta range.
They are likely to be dropping the old 1.25 litre petrol engine for the new Fiesta in favour of the more efficient 1.5 litre diesel and very economical and award winning 1.0 litre eco-boost engine in various power outputs.
Work on the interior will focus on the dash and trim using a higher quality of plastic to create a more premium feel. Also support will be added for Apple Car Play and Android Auto in the form of the Ford Sync 3 infotainment and navigation system. This system integrates the climate control system, audio options and navigation into one infotainment screen saving the need for extra buttons around the driver giving that de-cluttered look.
