New Mazda2 Tweaks

Published Date: 16th Mar 2006

The cheap new Mazda2 range has been given a number of interior and exterior tweaks.

Not all the new Mazda2's revisions are cosmetic though, the cheap new supermini has also gained a 1.4-litre diesel engine, which delivers 68bhp and complies with the new European emissions guidelines.

Other powerplant options are available in the form of 1.25-, 1.4- and 1.6-litre petrol powered engines.

All four of the engine options come with a five-speed manual box as standard, with the 1.4-litre petrol version also offering a five-speed automatic transmission.

ABS brakes, a radio/CD player and alarm are standard accessories across the new Mazda2 range. Meanwhile the Antares version offers air conditioning, electric front windows and body coloured wing mirrors and door handles.

The top of the range Capella models include 16-inch alloy wheels, a six-speaker stereo and electric, heated wing mirrors.
