Best New Car Names

As a bit of festive fun the conversations in the uk car discount office surrounded the best and worst new car names ever.

We have listed below the new car names that cropped up starting with the best names and our list is in no particular order.

Maybe we will create an interactive voting template in the New Year for this so we can have an official vote on the Best New Car Names Ever.

If we start with the Best New Car Names we managed to get, we came up with Jensen Interceptor, Corvette Stingray, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari Daytona/Testarossa, Lamborghini Diablo, Countach, Aventador, Murcielago, Dodge Viper, Porsche Carrera, Shelby AC Cobra, Ford Mustang, Rolls Royce Phantom, Pontiac Firebird, De Tomasso Pantera, TVR Chimera, Cerbera,  Aston Martin Vantage, Lancia Delta Integrale, Maserati Quattroporte  - Means 4 door but in Italian sounds really cool.

The favourite in the uk car discount office was the De Tomasso Pantera which as well as having a fantastic name was also the car that Elvis is rumoured to have shot when it wouldn’t start one morning!

Worst Car Names

If we go to the opposite end of the scale and look at some of the worst car names ever we think the Ford Probe is probably one of the worst, but a few more that cropped up were Subaru Brat, Chevrolet Nova (The Spanish Translation is “It does not go”) which is not exactly ideal when its a car. A few others were Mazda LaPuta (Spanish translation is “The Whore”) Mitsubishi Pajaro (Spanish translation is “Wanker”). We think the funniest are the Gaylord Gladiator and Dodge Swinger but im sure there are a few others that are better than this.

Thankfully the majority of the new cars for sale n 2014 seem to have more sensible names!
