The new model features exterior design updates, an interior with a more premium feel plus a new larger touchscreen. A new plug-in hybrid engine is also available that can travel up to 34 miles in full electric mode.

New Exterior Design

The 2022 C5 Aircross features a new, sharper design, at the front is a new all-in-one integrated light cluster and new design intakes, whilst the rear gets a makeover, and new 18-inch alloy wheels are introduced.

A new paint colour ‘Eclipse Blue’ has been added to familiar colours; Polar White, Pearlescent White, Perla Nera Black, Platinum Grey and Steel Grey.

The 2022 model also features new customisation options, buyers can choose between black, chrome, bronze or blue colour combinations which adds colour trim to the front intakes and the Citroen airbumps along the side of the vehicle.

Improved Interior Cabin Quality & New Tech

Inside Citroen have improved build quality and materials, features include new comfort seats with high-density foam at their core. As you move up the model range you can add additional comforts to like heated seats and a massage function.

Upholstery on lower grade models is described as a ‘new contemporary fabric’ by Citroen while higher grade editions get soft-touch Alcantara or perforated leather upholstery.

Other features that give the new interior a more upmarket feel include black ‘leather effect’ armrests/centre console and black leather effect inserts on the dashboard.

A new larger 10-inch touchscreen is also available with integrated navigation, it can be coupled with the configurable 12.3-inch digital driver display for the full hi-tech dash look.

State Of The Art Driver & Safety Aids

Citroen say the new C5 Aircross features 20 driver assistance systems including Citroen’s Highway Driver Assist, a level 2 autonomous driving system. The system combines adaptive cruise control with lane keeping and other technologies to control speed, distance and prevent you straying out of your lane.

Plenty Of Boot Space

If you choose a petrol or diesel model, you’ll get generous boot space (580 litres with the rear seats up, 720 with them folded). It trumps some of the popular 2022 SUV/Crossovers easily, like the Nissan Qahaqai or Ford Kuga comfortably. If you choose a plug-in model this will take a hit due to battery storage (460 and 600 litres respectively).

Plug-In Hybrid Brings Improved Efficiency To The C5 Aircross

Petrol and diesel powertrains are still available, and they are joined by a new plug-in hybrid option (available on mid to high grade models), that can cover up to 34 miles in full EV mode.
