The Qashqai is Nissan’s mid-sized Crossover/SUV, it blends practicability with hi-tech equipment and attractive running costs, especially when paired with one of the most frugal engines. There are also a 4-wheel drive options (higher grade N-Connecta and Tekna models) for the purists and those that need to tackle more demanding day to day travel.
The entry-level Visia model may lack a few standard features that are becoming a staple requirement for car buyers like a touchscreen infotainment system and parking sensors. Engine options
There are two engine options available with Visia models, the DIG-T 140 petrol or the dCi 115 diesel, there’s no automatic transmission, both come with manual gearbox, so if automatic transmission is a deal breaker then you’ll have to skip this model.
Bothe engines are good runners, feel quick enough and offer attractive running costs, the DIG-T 140 petrol is capable of 0-62mph in little over 10 seconds, combined fuel economy is up to 41mpg while CO2 emission are around 122g/km.
The dCi 115 diesel is not as nippy as the petrol engine around town (0-62mph is just over 12 seconds) but it does offer more torque and can feel better on motorways or when travelling with a full load of passengers and/or a full boot. Running costs are very good, CO2 emissions are as low as 102g/km and combine fuel economy is as high as 53mpg. If you clock up a lot of miles each year then the diesel could be the better choice, fo low mileage/around town driving the cheaper petrol models are a no brainer and they feel pretty smooth.
Acenta Premium Model

Petrol options are the entry-level DIG-T 140 (with manual transmission only) or the more powerful DIG-T 160 with either 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
The DIG-T 160 is great if you need more torque (it can pull 200kg more than the DIG-T 140, with a towing capacity of 1.5 tonnes) and it pretty much matches the lower powered DIG-T 140 for emissions and fuel economy under like-for-like circumstances.
The diesel option is a dCi 115 powertrain with 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, it is an option to consider if your yearly mileage is very high.
N-Connecta Model
