Mitsubishi have decided to bring the more practical and luxurious model to the UK market to add more choice to the regular shogun line-up.

The New Shogun Sport is number 5 in the list of SUV’s on sale in the UK from Mitsubishi, this follows on from the smaller and just released Eclipse Cross.

A newly developed eight speed automatic transmission is the only option available paired with the new Mitsubishi Super Select 4WD system that can operate between two wheel drive and four wheel drive.

Premium features on the entry level Shogun Sport 3 include Leather interior, electrically adjustable seats, LED lights front and rear, dual zone climate control, reversing camera with rear parking sensor, keyless entry and push button start.

The level of technology increases with the Shogun Sport 4 with Mitsubishi Power sound system with additional tweeters and a 510W amplifier, Advanced safety/driver assistance systems including adaptive cruise control, Forward collision mitigation, Blind spot warning, 360 degree view camera, and a mis-acceleration safety feature that will use the sensors on the car to halt any sudden acceleration into a nearby obstacle.

Colours available to both trim levels include three metallic shades – Deep Bronze, Atlantic Grey and Sterling Silver. Pearlescent Red and a solid Polar White are the finishes available. The top of the range has Cosmos Black pearlescent exclusive to the Shogun Sport 4.

The Mitsubishi Shogun Sport forms part of the new offensive from Mitsubishi in 2018 and they expect great sales from this and the new Eclipse Cross that has come about from a new partnership and platform sharing deal with Nissan and Renault.

Mitsubishi expect the Eclipse cross mid-size SUV to quickly become the brands biggest seller, beating the hybrid competition of the Outlander PHEV that sold 11,000 units last year alone.

As with all new cars from Mitsubishi the Shogun Sport benefits from a 5 year 62,500 mile warranty.
