Hyundai and Kia Delays

Hyundai and Kia have warned severe delays due to engine parts shortage. Yoosung enterprise supply piston rings for the diesel engines fitted in Hyundai and Kia models. Yoosung staff went on strike last week after a clash with management over pay.

At Hyundais Ulsan plant production of the diesel engine has been suspended and they have warned it will affect the petrol engine production as well. Yoosung enterprise also supply parts to General Motors and Renault.

The knock on effect of the strike will cause further delays to production which will obviously extend the delivery dates of factory built vehicles.
