New VW Golf R32 details released


Volkswagen has announced the specifications for its rapid new Volkswagen Golf Mk5 R32.

The car will go on sale in the UK in November, and with a 3.2 litre engine producing 250bhp it is set to be the quickest new Golf ever to go into production.

According to information from the manufacturer, standard equipment will include: 2Zone Climatronic air conditioning, a ten-speaker audio system, rain sensor wipers and an auto-dimming rear view mirror.

On the exterior of the car drivers can look forward to sports suspension, which is approximately 20mm lower than the standard new Golf; and 18-inch alloy wheels which are based on those supplied with the original R32 three years ago.

Aluminium grille detailing and a large air intake below the front bumper help to distinguish it from the standard Golf or Golf GTi.

On the inside unique R32 instrumentation and sports seats, as well as lashings of leather and aluminium, let you know that you're driving something a bit different.

VW has also announced then when it hits the showrooms the new VW Golf R32 will carry a hefty £23,745 price tag.
