New Citroens top for security
Citroens have proved to be some of the most secure new cars on sale after topping the table in this year's British Insurance Car Security Awards. The French manufacturer won three out of the ten categories it entered, making it the most successful in the awards' history.

The Citroen C4 Exclusive won the 'Small Family' category, while the 'City/Supermini' title was taken the Citroen C3 Exclusive. Meanwhile the Citroen C4 VTS took the top spot in the 'Performance' class, and the Citroen C5 Exclusive almost made it four wins, coming second in the 'Family' class.
All of the entrants were rated out of five stars in 'theft of' and 'theft from' tests with the C4 and C5 two of only six cars to achieve full marks in both categories. The high security ratings mean the new Citroen customers will be able to enjoy cheap car insurance deals.

Peter Roberts, chief executive The Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre, who organised the awards, said: "Citroen is to be commended for its ongoing commitment to featuring advanced security features across its range of vehicles. The fact that it has collected more awards than any other manufacturer in 2005 is testament to that work."
As well as top-level security, the Citroen range also boasts excellent safety ratings with the C4, C5 and C8 all attaining the maximum five star rating in the Euro NCAP crash tests.
Citroen UK Ltd's managing director, Alain Favey, commented: "We are very proud that Citroen has been recognised in these high profile awards. One of our key aims is to provide our customers with the highest levels of security and the lowest possible insurance deals, and the British Insurance Car Security Awards are testimony to our extensive work and success within this arena."
