The New Peugeot 308

The Peugeot 308, which is replacing the Peugeot 307, is now on sale from September this year as a 5-door model only. The 3-door version is then due to go on sale this December.

The new Peugeot 308 will be available in a wide variety of engine types and in a range of 5 trim levels – Urban, S, Sport, SE and GT, with prices ranging from £11,995 for the 1.4 litre Urban 3-door model up to £20,045 for the GT HDi 136 model.

There are 3 petrol engines – a 1.4 litre VTi 95bhp, a 1.6 litre VTi 120bhp and a 1.6 litre THP 150bhp – all with a 5-speed manual gearbox. There are also 3 HDi diesel engines - a 1.6 litre HDi 90bhp, a 1.6 litre HDi 110bhp plus a 2.0 litre HDi 136bhp – the 1.6 engines have a 5-speed manual gearbox whilst the 2.0 litre comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The new Peugeot 308 is slightly larger than the Peugeot 307 model it replaces to give more interior space for passengers and luggage.

Standard specification for all new Peugeot 308 models will include a wide range of airbags, power steering, electric front windows, remote control central locking, driver and passenger seat height adjustment, radio/CD player plus adjustable steering column for reach and rake. The specification then increases with the various trim levels.
