New Kia Pro Ceed GT

Kia will be launching their new Pro-Cee’d GT at the 2013 Geneva Motor show in March. This Turbocharged 1.6 litre GDI petrol engine can produce 204 PS (201 bhp) and 265 Nm (195lb/ft), and with six speed manual transmission provides the Kia with enough power to accelerate from 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds.

The Pro Cee’d GT is Kia's entry into the Hot Hatch market with tough competition from the new VW Golf, Ford Focus ST and RenaultSport Megane it remains to be seen how sales will perform but it should offer a worthy alternative for those looking for something new.

Inside the GT really looks the part, the normal Kia Ceed interior has been given a serious makeover up with a leather sports steering wheel with red stitching and GT badge, alloy pedals and Recaro seats again with red stitching and red GT badging.

The GT exterior makeover includes red brake callipers, LED daytime running lights, and a deeper front air dam, a 'beefed-up' front bumper, side skirts, 18-inch alloys and subtle roof spoiler.

The eye-catching Kia hot hatchback is expected to go on sale across Europe mid 2013.
