Ford Focus off to a roaring start - 10/05/2005
The new Ford Focus has experienced an exceptional start to 2005, already shifting 100,000 units Europe-wide.
This brings the total number of sales of the car since its relaunch six months ago to 115,000 models, with the most successful markets being Britain, Spain, Germany and Italy.
Ford has also revealed that 100 trade buyers competed to be the first to sell the car on the used market, with the car's remarkable residual value of 80 per cent being a great incentive.
Steve Hood, marketing director, Ford of Britain said: "We are delighted with the positive response Focus received. Such a strong residual value is great news for retail and fleet buyers alike and testament to the increased quality and craftsmanship across the Focus.
