Ford's S-Max is topping polls as one of the UK's favourite multi-purpose vehicle, according to reports released today.
Sales of the new people carrier have beaten sakes targets, attracting 1,320 customers despite having only been on the market for the past two months.
Around 50 per cent of orders have been for the range's Titanium model, with half of those buying the S-Max across Europe purchasing the Ford Blue Oval model.
Roelant de Waard, chairman and managing director of Ford Britain, told website Carkeys: "I'm among the country's new Ford S-MAX drivers because I value its blend of head-turning looks and performance with space and practicality.
"The vehicle's early sales reports confirm Britain's motoring public agrees."
Boasting seven seats and a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine, the Ford S-Max is bigger than rivals such as the Vuaxhall Zafira and the Toyota Verso.
It is also probing popular in diesel editions such as the 2.0-litre unit, which can produce 137bhp.
Buyers interested in the Ford S-Max can buy vehicles now with new car finance deals such as personal contract purchase offers making the car a cheap option.
