Vauxhall Zafira scoops perfect safety rating - 23/05/2005
The new Vauxhall Zafira MPV has been awarded full marks in the Euro-NCAP crash safety ratings, scooping a coveted five star label.
It joins an exclusive club of fiver-star cars, which includes Renault Scenic, Seat Altea, Toyota Corolla Verso and Volkswagen Touran compact MPVs, and is a marked improvement from the three stars that the previous Zafira earned.
The car's body was singled out for special praise as it suffered minimal deformation on impact, and this was complemented by good seatbelt and airbag deployment.

Driver protection was rated extremely highly, with the footwell protecting the legs in the event of a crash.
