New look Vectra revealed

Vauxhall has unveiled a revamped, new look Vectra, which is set to hit the UK in October.

Described by Vauxhall as "sharper, smoother and more stylish" the redesign brings the Vectra in line with the new bolder Vauxhall look, which was first seen on the Vauxhall Astra.

It involves alterations to the front grill, front and rear bumpers, as well as new wheel designs.

The interior has been overhauled, with new upholstery materials and mouldings giving the driver a "greater sense of quality". Meanwhile a new smaller, sportier steering wheel gives the new look Vauxhall Vectra improved looks and handling.

Chassis improvements make the car more responsive, while the flagship Vauxhall Vectra Elite models receive an all new 2.8 litre turbocharged V6 engine with a six speed manual gear box.

These mechanical alterations have been developed specifically for UK roads, with all testing taking place in Britain.

Prices for the new range will be released in early July, but with improved looks and spec the new Vauxhall Vectra range should offer some of the best new car deals around.

From the new range Vauxhall expect the 1.9CDTi and new 1.8 litre petrol, both of which will be available in spring 2006, to be the best selling models.
