Toyota Tweaks Prius - 28/04/2005

Toyota has announced that it is to make a number of adjustments to its award-winning Prius model.

The Prius, which scooped both the 2005 European Car of the Year award and the International Engine of the Year award, has been modified to maximise its all-round dynamic performance, including better road-holding and steering, as well as a reduction in noise, vibration and hardness (NVH).

Springs and dampers have been tweaked and the car's rigidity has been improved as well.

Furthermore, a refinement of the electric power steering wheel and sterner wheel construction have improved the feel of steering for the driver.

The introduction of an acoustic windscreen, which has a special film of noise-absorbing film between layers of glass, and better insulation materials in important areas on the dashboard will ensure that driving a Toyota Prius will be a quieter, smoother ride than ever.
