Fans and new buyers of the Mazda RX-8 in 2006 can now talk to each other about their favourite vehicle in the Mazda RX-8 club. Alternatively, owners can discuss everything RX-8 in the exclusive chat room, safe in the knowledge that they are in the company of fellow fans.

New Mazda2 Tweaks

The cheap new Mazda2 range has been given a number of interior and exterior tweaks. Not all the new Mazda2's revisions are cosmetic though, the cheap new supermini has also gained a 1.4-litre diesel engine, which delivers 68bhp and complies with the new European emissions guidelines. Other powerplant options are available in the form of 1.25-, 1.4- and 1.6-litre petrol powered engines.

New Mazda 3 MPS Unveiled

The new Mazda 3 MPS will be unveiled for spectators at the Geneva Motor Show. It will share the 2.3-litre turbocharged direct-injection four-cylinder engine that comes with its elder sibling, the Mazda 6. The engine allows the new Mazda 3 to deliver 274 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, doing an estimated 0-60mph in around six seconds.

New Mazda 3 Sakata Record Sales

Mazda is celebrating record January sales with the release of the new Mazda 3 Sakata, available with a range of new car finance deals from dealerships. It will be available with black mica or Strato blue metallic paintwork, 15-inch alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. It also comes with a sprightly 1.6 litre 104 bhp petrol engine, rear spoiler and air-conditioning.

New Mazda Sports Cars MX-5 and RX-8

Mazda sold more sports cars than any of its rivals in the UK last year. Total RX-8 sales in 2005 were 4,971 and the company sold 5,812 MX-5s. Mazda believes the figures would have been even more impressive had supply shortages for the new Mazda RX-8 not dented sales.

New Mazda RX-8 Best Coupe Award

The Mazda RX-8 beat off rivals to scoop award for best coupe; for the third year in a row at the What Car? Awards ceremony on Saturday. The magazine commented on the "taut and agile" handling of the vehicle with a supple and yet smooth driving path. Standard features such as electrically adjustable leather seats, CD changer and climate control, were all given nods too.

Mazda Has Revealed The New CX-7 Crossover SUV

Mazda has revealed its new CX-7 crossover SUV at the Detroit Motor Show. With a 2.3-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine creating 244 bhp, the cheap new car is available as a two-wheel or four-wheel drive with an active torque split. Designer Iwao Koizumi commented that he intended the car to combine sporty looks with the standard specifications of an SUV.

New Mazda RX8 Coupe

A new special edition coupe of the Mazda RX8 has been launched for the new year, called the Mazda RX8 Evolve. With a 0-62mph speed of 6.4 seconds and the capability of reaching 146mph, the sporty limited edition will turn heads, being available in Copper red and Phantom blue. This special edition of the Mazda RX8, was originally unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in 2000 as a concept car.

New Mazda MX-5 Wins Award

The Mazda MX-5 has won an award for Best Roadster 2006 from Test Drive magazine. Over 1,000 units of the car were sold within the first two months of release in 2005, as Mazda fans rushed to experience the qualities of the cheap new sports car. Reviewers for Test Drive magazine said: "The Mazda didn?t just win on a value-for-money footing. It won on the twisting, rain-soaked mountain roads.

New Mazda MX-5 Sales Rise

Sales of the new third-generation Mazda MX-5 have risen by a third when compared to sales of the previous edition last year. The news comes as the new MX-5 wins the New Zealand Herald car of the year award for 2005.
