After months of teasing from the boys and girls at Ford the rapid new Ford Focus ST has finally been unveiled, and on paper at least it looks set to make quite an impression. A leather steering wheel, sports seats from Recaro and a six-speed gearbox ensure the new Ford Focus ST feels fast even when its sitting still.

Ford has given journalists an official first look at the cheap new Ford Galaxy. As such the car features Ford's new Advanced Front Light System, which pivots the headlamps when turning, providing the driver with a better view of what is coming next.
The next new Ford to go into production will be SAV Concept car, which debuted recently at the Geneva Motor Show. More details will be released closer to the car's January 2006 launch but early indications are that it will be built on the New Mondeo chassis and will feature the option of seven flat folding seats.
The new Ford Focus ST will be released in five-door form when it goes on sale later this year. Both the three and five-door options will be powered by a 217bhp, 2.5-litre engine, and although no official figures have been released the cars should get from 0-60mph in around six seconds.
With the brand new Ford Mondeo model due to go on sale from June this year, several leading car magazines have been trying it out. WhatCar? recently reviewed the new Ford Mondeo. Giving it a full 5-star score, they commented ‘The Mondeo delivers everything you could possibly expect from a family car. It’s big, safe, comfortable, affordable and extremely refined’.
The new model of the Focus has proved to be particularly successful in Ford's line-up as it also ranked as the best-selling diesel model available. Meanwhile, Ford's general position in the marketplace has proved to be strong after 347,550 of its units took up 14.2 per cent of the total market.
