Jaguar New Executive SUV

Jaguar looks set to stalk new territories with plans to release a new executive level SUV. The new Jaguar has been designed to raise the firm's profile and sales in the US where demand for SUVs is stronger than ever; and while it is being pitched against the new BMW X5 and the new Mercedes M-Class, Jag are being careful not to disturb the market for sister company Land Rover.

New BMW 130i Reaches 60mph in 6.1 Seconds

New Car Sales Data

Data from Jato Dynamics shows that car sales reached 1.24 million vehicles in July, with new car registrations dropping slightly, and figures for the first seven months of the year are on a par with 2004. Volkswagen topped brand performance, with a 1.1 per cent rise in sales last month, and Renault was the market leader for the first seven months of July.
