Ford Offers Smartnav

Ford is offering its customers a new year bonus in the form of Smartnav available on its cheap new cars. The system will include a year's subscription and a free month of Safe Speed, together with a speed camera warning system. The deal comes as part of its Test Drive Week campaign, where buyers can check out the new technology for themselves.

Ford Announce New S-Max

Ford has announced the name of its new SAV concept vehicle  the S-Max. It will uniquely feature three seats on the front row and is built to offer maximum comfort and accommodation through the new Ford Flat System (FFS), which allows for a seven-seat configuration. It will also come in a range of engines, including a 2.7 V6 turbo diesel that is already being used by the Jaguar S-type.

Mazda Has Revealed The New CX-7 Crossover SUV

Mazda has revealed its new CX-7 crossover SUV at the Detroit Motor Show. With a 2.3-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine creating 244 bhp, the cheap new car is available as a two-wheel or four-wheel drive with an active torque split. Designer Iwao Koizumi commented that he intended the car to combine sporty looks with the standard specifications of an SUV.

New Mazda RX8 Coupe

A new special edition coupe of the Mazda RX8 has been launched for the new year, called the Mazda RX8 Evolve. With a 0-62mph speed of 6.4 seconds and the capability of reaching 146mph, the sporty limited edition will turn heads, being available in Copper red and Phantom blue. This special edition of the Mazda RX8, was originally unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in 2000 as a concept car.

New Mazda MX-5 Wins Award

The Mazda MX-5 has won an award for Best Roadster 2006 from Test Drive magazine. Over 1,000 units of the car were sold within the first two months of release in 2005, as Mazda fans rushed to experience the qualities of the cheap new sports car. Reviewers for Test Drive magazine said: "The Mazda didn?t just win on a value-for-money footing. It won on the twisting, rain-soaked mountain roads.

Chrysler gets ready for busy 2006

Chrysler is to release six new models into the cheap new car market this year, making 2006 its biggest year ever. Fiat is to launch the new Croma model  a car that has the style of a saloon mixed with the practicality of an MPV. Standard features include electric windows, air conditioning, a three litre refrigerated box and 16 inch alloy wheels.

Ford Joins Forces With Harrods

Ford has joined forces with Harrods to bring a New Year treat to shopaholics at the January sales. Students from the London Camberwell College of Arts will be painting miniature plaster models of the cheap new car, which will then be placed on a conveyor belt and placed on display.
