Ford Set To Launch The Kuga

The new Ford Kuga has been developed by Ford using their ‘kinetic design’ which has already been seen in the new Ford Mondeo model and the Ford S-Max. It will be based on a 4-wheel drive version of the Ford Focus C-Max platform and will be Ford’s first European compact 4x4 – looking to compete against the likes of the very popular Toyota RAV4.

The New Ford Mondeo Titanium Model

Ford is launching a new trim level to its new Mondeo model. Called Titanium, it will sit beneath their top-level trim, the Titanium X. The new Ford Mondeo Titanium will be available as either a saloon, hatchback or estate version and will have a choice of engine types – 1.8litre or 2.0 litre TDCi turbo diesel engines, 2.0i or 2.3i petrol engines and a turbocharged petrol 2.5T engine.

The Ford X MAX

Following the huge success that Ford has had with the S-Max model, it is currently developing the X-MAX - a chunky and compact 4x4 model. Due to go on sale in 2008, the Ford Focus X-MAX will extend Ford’s Max range that also includes the Ford C-Max model. The X-Max will be available in a range of engine sizes with a 1.6 litre, a 1.8 litre and a 2.0 litre petrol engine plus a 2.

Ford Galaxy and S MAX

Available from May 2007, both the Ford S-MAX and Galaxy models will be available with the 130PS Duratorq TDCi diesel engine and Ford’s new six-speed Durashift automatic transmission. On the road prices for the automatic start from £19,995 for the S-MAX and £21,995 for the Galaxy.

Ford Focus Tops European Car Sales

According to recent figures the Ford Focus was the best selling car in Europe in March 2007. The Ford Focus has consistently been among the top selling models since 1998 in the UK, but this is the first time it has also been the top selling model across Europe.

New Ford Technology

Ford is currently working on various innovative designs to improve driving safety including new technology to improve visibility in the ‘blind spot’. When a driver wishes to change lanes, the blind spot detector would use radar to warn the driver when a vehicle is in their blind spot. A sensor would be able to detect disruptions to the earth’s magnetic field.

The New Ford Mondeo

Ford has recently launched its new Mondeo model at the Geneva Motor Show. The new Mondeo recently featured in the latest Bond movie, Casino Royale, and this was highlighted in Ford’s marketing at the Geneva Show. "The exciting new Mondeo is very important to us", said Roelant de Waard, Ford of Britain's Chairman and Managing Director.

Ford Introduce New Ka

Ford has brought forward the launch of its new Ka model, which was originally due to arrive at the end of 2008.     This has been made possible because the new model Ford Ka will have the same platform as the new Fiat 500, which is due to be launched in July 2007.    The new model Ford Ka is now due to arrive in early 2008.

S-MAX has been voted New Fleet Car of the Year 2007 and Best Mini-MPV by readers of BusinessCar magazine. Galaxy was awarded the top slot in its class with Best MPV.  The BusinessCar Awards are nominated by readers of the publication, making them among the most influential in the business car arena.
