Joining the wide range of new Ford Focus models launched recently, Ford launched its updated Ford Focus CC at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2008. The four-seater Ford Focus CC has a retractable hardtop roof. When the roof is up the Focus CC has a storage capacity of 534 litres, and even when the roof is stored in the boot it still has 248 litres of storage space.
The new Ford Mondeo 2.0 litre TCDi Zetec model has scooped two What Car? awards this January - it won in both the Family Car and Estate Car categories. Judges selected this particular model due to its frugal yet lively and refined diesel powertrain combined with a specification-packed interior.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has recently reported on new car sales for this September. The month of September is traditionally a busy month for car sales and SMMT reported that this September was even better than expected with a total of 419,290 new car registrations.
The Ford Mondeo has been voted the Caravan Club Towcar of the Year 2008. Ford came out top in two out of five classes, which are judged in price bands. The Ford Mondeo Zetec hatchback performed best in the £16,000-£20,000 class while the Ford Mondeo Titanuim X Estate won the £25,000-£32,000 class.
Ford has announced that a new version of its family favourite, the Ford Focus, will begin rolling off production lines from the end of 2007. Three door, four door, five door and estate body styles will be first for sale in the UK, Coupe-Cabriolet and ST sporting flagship variants arriving in Spring 2008.
On sale in the summer of 2008, the new Ford Kuga is being unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September in near production form. This trend-setting newcomer takes many of its design ideas from the Iosis X concept shown at the Paris Motor Show last year.

The new Ford Kuga has been developed by Ford using their ‘kinetic design’ which has already been seen in the new Ford Mondeo model and the Ford S-Max. It will be based on a 4-wheel drive version of the Ford Focus C-Max platform and will be Ford’s first European compact 4x4 – looking to compete against the likes of the very popular Toyota RAV4.
Ford is launching a new trim level to its new Mondeo model. Called Titanium, it will sit beneath their top-level trim, the Titanium X. The new Ford Mondeo Titanium will be available as either a saloon, hatchback or estate version and will have a choice of engine types – 1.8litre or 2.0 litre TDCi turbo diesel engines, 2.0i or 2.3i petrol engines and a turbocharged petrol 2.5T engine.
