Two new Renault concepts released
The motoring world has been given a couple of clues to next year's range of new Renaults.
2006 looks set to be a busy year for the French manufacturer.
First to be unveiled is Egeus, a mid sized SUV concept to rival the likes of the cheap new Citroen Xsara Picasso and the cheap new Vauxhall Zafira. The French firm claims that its new "upmarket 4x4 sports utility vehicle" concept combines the "elegance of a saloon" with the "dynamic personality of a coupe".
The first chance to see the new Renault Egeus in the flesh will be the Frankfurt Motorshow in September.
While it will not go straight into production some features such as the rear hinged back doors and pivoting seats are likely to give clues toward Renault's new mid-sized SUV, due for launch next year.

Also debuting this week is a concept version of the new Renault Clio Renaultsport.
The new Clio Renaultsport 2.0 will be at the top of the cheap new Renault Clio range and should hit the streets in 2006, when it will go up against the likes of the new VW Golf GTi, the new Ford Focus ST and the new Vauxhall Astra VXR.
It certainly looks the part with flared wheel arches; a butch front splitter and an F1 inspired rear air diffuser.
