With diesels getting more popular Peugeot have been putting increasing resources into the development of their oil burners. The new Peugeot 206 CC and new 307 CC HDi models the only convertible diesels fitted with a diesel particulate emission filter (FAP).
The manufacture claims that its "comprehensive range of HDi diesel powered cars not only requires fewer visits to the filling station than a petrol car, but also when fitted with a particulate emission filter (FAP) provides added protection for the environment."

FAP filters have been fitted as standard to the Peugeot range since 2000 when the filter was first fitted on the new 607.
In a statement following What Car's announcement Peugeot took the opportunity to point out that it is the UK's top supplier of convertible cars with the cheap new Peugeot 206 CC and cheap new 307 CC proving very popular.
