Nissan buyers urged to take Note
Nissan has released details of its cheap new car the Note.
With starting prices of £9,995, the cheap new car is similar in style to the Modus of Vauxhall's Meriva, being a compact five-door vehicle.
The car has been designed with young families in mind, including a sliding rear bench seat to increase legroom or space load.
It has been praised for its simplicity, with the manufacturer jokingly adding: "male owners won't lose face by having to refer to Note's handbook".

The cheap new car will come with four airbags, electric front windows, a CD player and remote central locking as standard.
The SE model will add a couple more airbags, air conditioning and alloy wheels to this, with heated, electrically adjustable door mirrors and rear electric windows.
Brian Carolin, senior vice president for sales and marketing at Nissan Europe, said: "Note is a significant car for Nissan. It fulfils all the practical needs of a busy young family, but also delivers a genuinely dynamic driving experience to match its individual looks.
He added: "[It] is a segment-busting non-conformist designed to appeal to buyers for whom traditional family segment cars are just too conservative [offering] genuine choice without compromise."
.
Eagle-eyed car enthusiasts will observe the car's similarities to the Nissan Tone, exhibited at the Paris motor show in 2004.
The front marks the debut of Nissan's new European grille, continuing the use of Nissan's bold headlamp designs.
