Details have been released for the new Peugeot 5008 people carrier, due to hit UK roads early next year.

There will be a choice of five and seater versions featuring a “flat-folding” rear seat arrangement to enable the rear seats to be folded away into the floor.

The second row of seats will be able to benefit from a multimedia system. A seven-inch colour screen will be located in the back of the two front seat headrests with the ability to connect different types of mobile audio/video equipment.

At its launch, there will be six available engines – two petrol and four diesel.

The new Peugeot 5008 people carrier will include a host of new safety features including;

·        Head-up display- a translucent panel which projects driving information onto the windscreen

·        Distance Alert – a radar which measures the distance between the car in front. The data is then transmitted to the head up display

·        Snow Motion – allows drivers to move off safely on icy or snow covered roads

·        ESP, six air bags, automatic electric parking brake with “hill assist”.

The new Peugeot 5008 will premiere at this years Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
