New car sales in the UK continued to grow in February 2013, with this being the 12th successive month sales have been on the up in the UK despite the current economic climate. Private new car registrations have been a big contributor to the upturn and it’s thought that despite many having to tighten the purse strings the trend of manufacturer’s producing more fuel efficient/economical cars and the increasing number of new car deals being offered are an attractive proposition for the private user with financial benefits to be had like zero road tax and exemption from the London congestion charge with some of the more economical and environmentally friendlier vehicles The trend for more economical cars is highlighted with small cars and the supermini sector seeing healthy increases in sales along with alternative fuel vehicles.
