New 25th Anniversary Mazda MX-5 is to be shown at Goodwood
This new 25th anniversary special edition of the Mazda MX-5 will make its UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed before going on sale here in the UK at the beginning of August.
This brand new edition will have interior and exterior features not available on any other Mazda MX-5. On the inside, the latest MX-5 has white leather seats with a 25th Anniversary logo and stitching and door trims, special edition stainless steel kick plates, sporty aluminium pedals, 17-inch gunmetal grey alloy wheels and Brillstein dampers on the manual version. Only available on the UK 25th anniversary car is a 6.1-inch touch screen satellite navigation system.
Here in the UK we will receive 750 of the 1000 individually numbered special edition of the anniversary model, which is based on and around the top spec Sport Tech Nav trim level of the 2.0-litre roadster. Car number one of the 1000 in the production will be on show at Goodwood on 26-29 June, alongside an evolution display looking back on the MX-5, which was first introduced back in 1989.
This special edition car comes in one colour only, metallic red, with black pillars and black door mirrors. Its 2.0-litre, 158bhp engine comes with a six-speed manual transmission. It can venture from 0-62mph in just 7.9sec and can achieve a top speed of 136mph.
The new Mazda MX-5 pricing is yet to be confirmed, we expect you’ll be paying around £23,000.
