Mazda eyes fleet sales increase - 05/05/2005
Mazda has attributed a large part of its success over recent years to attracting ever more business from the fleet sector.
The big movers in Mazda's hold on the fleet market are the Mazda6, the Mazda3 and the MX-5, as well as, surprisingly the MX-5.
Mazda is estimating that some 18,000 cars, representing about one third of its total UK sales, will be sold to fleet customers.
They have gone on to say that by 2008, they expect to sell 70,000 fleet cars.
Mazda's newly-appointed fleet and remarketing director Adam Pumfrey said: "There are thousands of companies across the UK operating small fleets, up to 50 cars and these businesses are our target market."
Mr Pumfrey went on: "My aim over the next 12 months is to work with our dealers that have yet to truly enter the fleet market and help them win corporate business in their local areas."
