Special edition Freedom joins Fiesta line-up

Ford has added the Freedom special edition to its cheap new Ford Fiesta range, a model that comes with high-tech accessories.

Satellite navigation, phone calls and mp3 tracks can all be accessed without the driver taking their hands off the wheel.

In a deal with Vodafone, Freedom owners will get a 3G phone complete with Tom Tom navigation that can be used outside the car and only pay £25 per month.

Speaking of the decision to offer the high-tech system, Mark Ovenden, marketing director of Ford of Britain, said: "Fiesta Freedom is the ultimate hands-free accessory and I'm sure there will be plenty of buyers who decide to take the long route home while they enjoy flicking around their CD collection or having an extra chat - without lifting a finger."

Over £800 worth of equipment is included in the deal that Ford says will offer a "21st century lifestyle".

Also on offer are alloy wheels, a leather steering wheel, remote central locking and body-coloured mirrors and handles in a choice of 12 colours.

Fiesta Freedom models are available now, but anyone who is looking to get one should hurry as only 2,500 are being produced.
