Ford’s Super 6 for 2015

Published Date: 8th Dec 2014

Ford expects 2015 to be its busiest year for two decades, with six new models to launch

Ford is entering its busiest period for the last 20 years, we have learnt. The American car-maker is gearing up for not one model launch in 2015 but as much as six - and the cars to be launched range from classic models right up to premium cars that push the brand more up-market and appeal to new customers. The move has has been referred to as ‘a gigantic undertaking’ by one company employee.

2015 will start off with the launch of the new face-lifted Focus and Focus ST available to order on the new 15 plate registration out in March. This iconic family hatchback has received a whole host of upgrades ranging from a design facelift, improved build quality and technology. So far in 2014, the Ford Focus is Britain’s third best-selling car so forecast expectations for the new model are very high for the new 15 plate registration in March. The new Ford Focus will be available in 100s of different trim and engine variations, allowing Ford to cater to a vast range of potential customers.

Alongside the new Ford Focus for an early 2015 launch is the brand-new Mondeo. Just like the Focus, the new Ford Mondeo will be available in a variety of combinations – from the 1.0-litre petrols to 4x4s and business-specific trims to a new premium Vignale version.

The Vignale is Ford’s secret weapon to take customers away from the premium German brands such as BMW and Audi. Customers who go for a new 15 plate Mondeo Vignale - and later an S-MAX Vignale too - will be treated like kings, with a VIP experience including a dedicated Vignale manager and posh lounges in Ford dealerships. Buyers that opt to buy one of these premium models will be able to enjoy having their Vignale collected by the Ford dealership when it comes to servicing and on its return, it’ll be washed, valeted and any minor scratches or scuffed alloys will be repaired.

In August, Ford’s volume Focus and Mondeo lines will be joined by new 65 plate S-MAX and new C-MAX MPVs before the first Mustang Coupes and Convertibles arriving at the turn of November, which will be available to order on the 16 plate registration
