According to the manufacturer nearly 50,000 cheap new Citroen C8, Xsara Picasso and Citroen Berlingo Multispace models have been sold since their launch. Commenting on Citroen's role as the MPV market leader a statement to Carpages, from the magazine, said: "Citroen have achieved their position by merging affordability with honest products that meet the motoring demands of an increasingly discerning and shrewd customer. "In short, Citroen have led the way in producing cars that people want to buy at prices they simply cant ignore." Both the new Citroen Xsara Picasso and cheap new Citroen Berlingo Multispace are leaders in their market beating of competition from cars such as the new Vauxhall Zafira, Ford Galaxy and VW Touran. 21st September 2005
