New BMWs for British Motor Show
BMW is the latest manufacturer to announce its return to the British International Motor Show.
Following the unveiling of the new BMW Z4 coupe at the Frankfurt Motor Show, BMW UK's managing director, Jim O'Donnell, explained the firm's decision to exhibit new BMWs and cheap new Mini's at the London event in 2006.
"We have been critical of rising costs at the NEC motor shows and felt that we could spend our marketing budget more wisely," said Mr O'Donnell. "However, I believe the new show, in the heart of our capital city, has addressed my concerns and I am delighted that we will be attending the 2006 show with BMW and MINI.

"MINI has been present at every British motor show since the car's launch in 2001 and I can guarantee that we will use every opportunity to present our brands in an interesting and innovative way. We hope the new show will prove to be a huge success."
Mini also turned a number of heads in Frankfurt where the cheap new mini estate was confirmed.
Sales director for the show's organisers, Giles Brown, welcomed BMW's decision: "We are thrilled to welcome BMW Group to The British International Motor Show. This decision is a great boost for the new show."
Following a number of years at the Birmingham NEC the British Motor Show will be returning to London, and the docklands ExCel centre, from July 20th 2006.
