Cheap new BMW disposal system

From January 1st 2006 there will be one more good reason to buy a cheap new BMW or cheap new Mini.

The BMW group has introduced a free disposal service, which will mean that the owner of any old or new BMW group vehicle is guaranteed an environmentally-friendly end to their car.

The disposal is available regardless of the age of the vehicle and whether it has been serviced by approved new BMW dealers.

BMW claims that under its return disposal programme 85 per cent of vehicle parts, components and interior will be recovered and recycled.

According to BMW (UK) director of aftersales, Steve Nash, the service builds upon an already established BMW recycling pedigree.

"Since the early 1990s, the BMW Group has been involved in the recycling of cars. In fact, the BMW Group was the first car manufacturer in the world to create a vehicle recycling network.

"In the UK, we view our Vehicle Recycling Network as a third and equally important network within our business after the vehicle sales and repair networks," said Mr Nash.

He went on to urge all old and new BMW customers to take advantage of the system.
