Audi stretches its appeal
Lets be honest, most of us are more interested in cheap new cars than chauffer driven limos. I know that I for one am definitely more Mazda than Maybach.
However, for those that do prefer life in the back seat there is a new kid on the block, the new Audi A8 long wheel base 3.0 TDi.
Recently unveiled at the Limousine and Chaffeur Show the relatively cheap new Audi impressed the organisers so much that it was named Chauffeur Car of the Year for its performance, available variants, low maintenance costs and of course passenger comfort.

Commenting on the award, specialist sales manager for Audi business sales, Liz McConnell, said: "The level of interest in Audi we registered throughout the show made it an extremely worthwhile venture for us, especially as we also beat some pretty exalted luxury cars to an award judged not only by respected authorities in the chauffeuring industry, but also by professional drivers across the country who spend most of their working lives in luxury saloons."
Also making waves in the limo market this week are Bentley, who has confirmed that a convertible will be added to its Continental range.
"With the Continental GTC we set out to achieve a style that is both contemporary and elegant, but with the sporting stance of a true performance car. We also wanted to ensure that the Continental GTC looks just as beautiful with the roof up as it does when it's down.," explained Bentley's design director, Dirk van Braeckel.
