New Audi A4 Saloon Black Edition Review

The ‘Black Edition’ is the top-grade A4 Saloon model, based on the S-Line trim-level with aesthetic updates that include dashes of jet-black trim on the grille, rear spoiler, air intakes, window surrounds and special black Audi rings/badges.

You also get unique 19-inch diamond cut alloy wheels in gloss anthracite black, while inside features unique ‘piano black’ inserts, a 3-spoke flat bottomed steering wheel and leather upholstery.

The A4 saloon offers a viable alternative to other premium models like the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class, boasting a classy interior and an emphasis on comfort. While the BMW 3 Series is considered a better car to drive, the A4 is big on comfort with excellent interior build quality and tech.

Inside it is equipped with a premium B&O sound system and Audi’s much acclaimed MMI (Multi Media Interface) Plus infotainment system.

The ‘Plus’ means you are getting the top-end touchscreen infotainment platform with all the additional bells and whistles, including integrated 3D navigation, Audi Connect, integrated Alexa for voice control and a 10-inch touchscreen.

The top-grade infotainment system is coupled with Aud's impressive 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit Plus driver display. The A4 Black Edition is also packed with the latest driver assistance tech including ‘Pre-Sense City’ which can warn and additionally apply the brakes to avoid a collision, parking assistance, rear view camera and parking sensors.
